Work Experience

Develop and research in NLP | Oficina Nacional de Delitos de Odio | Part-time

Ministerio del Interior, Goverment of Spain 🇪🇸 | July 2021 - Now Developing a platform to geoparse, geolocalize, tabulate and deidenitfy police reports. I used RegEx and NLP-NER models to extract data from raw text in PDFs.
I've used Huggingface's transformers, FlairNLP BiLSTM+CRF, BiGRU+CRF models and embeddings, programmed them in Tensorflow 2 too. ReGex rules were developed to extract regular entities and then the interface is being developed in Python. Google API for Maps and OpenStreetMaps Overpass API are used to show a map of the streets extracted, with a summary per street of near amenities.
Then an UI tool was developed using PyQt5, and an installer using pyinstaller and Inno Setup. This way non-technical people can use state-of-the-art models to anonimize and extract entities easily, using the installer and the UI.
